What are we looking for?

Nicopure Labs has a great opportunity for an experienced senior security subject matter expert, with experience in web application and network disciplines to support the company's security objectives. This position identifies and resolves potential security breaches and vulnerability issues by reviewing logs and responding to events. The Information Security Engineer will conduct both network and user activity audits where required. Determine security needs, develop and implement solutions, and enforce security policies and standards.


What else will you be doing?

  • Use threat intelligence sources to evaluate the current threat landscape and how it pertains to the company using security products and techniques to routinely monitor for vulnerabilities, threats, alerts, and attacks.
  • Determines if any immediate or future action is necessary to protect information system assets and acts accordingly.
  • Work with CTO to assist in the research, development, configuration, upgrade and implementation of IT Security related products and services; lead and support projects.
  • Conducts security investigations using data analysis and forensic techniques.
  • Works with Business Owners, IT Application Development and Infrastructure stakeholders to assist in the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture and systems, including business applications; authentication mechanisms, cryptography, role-based security; portals and web configurations; host and backend systems; DMZs, firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS systems; penetration testing; vulnerability assessments; and disaster recovery.


Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Application security in a LAMP, or web development environment 
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field and eight (8) years of progressive, relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PCI/DSS Compliance
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of, and/or proven record of success in roles involving, Information Technology supporting dynamic security engineering initiatives, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, with emphasis on the following: Developing tools and programs utilizing programming and scripting knowledge.
  • The ability and desire to work independently
