    Responsibilities

    What are we looking for?

    The Senior UX-UI Designer is a joint member of the e-Commerce and Creative Studio teams that manages the creation of brand-appropriate assets as needs dictate across small and large e-commerce/digital projects.  In this role, you will be the directional leader and executor of the digital aesthetic of both the Nicopure and Halo/Evo brands with a potential to expand this portfolio over time; this position works closely in conjunction with CMO and will have an immediate, consumer-level impact on the brands in the Nicopure portfolio.   

     

    You will ensure efficient and nimble execution of this content working in collaboration with the Creative Director, and Director of eComm, Web Dev and Communications teams and will also work on web properties including the flagship sites (across all regions, globally) to organize and produce a site and channel-ready creative.   As the primary, Senior-level resource, you will help drive best practices in UX as well as UI in collaboration with the cross-functional team. 

     

    The Sr. UX-UI Designer is responsible for sketching, wire framing and designing everything from marketing websites to robust user interfaces. This position will enable the cross-functional team to quickly prototype and explore new design and customer experience ideas – aspire to help create and drive an established but flexible workflow. The ideal candidate should possess inspiring and excellent visual design skills, familiarity with common UI design patterns and conventions, and have proven experience with information architecture.

    What will you be doing? 

    • Work with eComm site managers, fellow creatives, copy-writing, digital marketing and other cross-functional resources to produce web and digital channel-ready assets for small and large projects
    • Design and deliver exceptional assets for all online experiences including but not limited to home pages, landing pages and category pages, storytelling/blog-style editorial posts, transactional and triggered emails, marketing emails, interactive campaigns and fit guides, category-based promotions, social media projects and general website look and feel
    • Design high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts to stakeholders
    • Create the visual design and UX-UI treatments for new and existing online experiences across viewports in desktop and mobile (web and app); ensure that all customer-brand connection points meet both business objectives and customer expectations
    • Multitask and manage multiple small-to-large size projects ensuring all projects are completed with quick turn-around and a high level of attention to detail.
    • Work collaboratively and iteratively with stakeholders, designers, and developers, to execute and deliver a flawless end product
    • Understand and troubleshoot brand elements as they relate to a digital format, including: Copy/ Imagery/ Art/ Illustration/ General style guide standards
    • Develop and maintain an online style guide for internal/external partners and ensure that all online creative is delivered to a high standard
    • Coordinate and guide creative efforts with external partners to produce high quality, brand-appropriate work and meet tight deadlines
    • Support projects with digital art direction as needed
    • Assure that each graphic element meets production specifications including: resolution, color palette (web-safe colors) and web size-optimization/sizing
    • Provides photo editing, retouching and image manipulation skills including sizing, optimization, collage and layering in collaboration with the internal studio team
    • Stays abreast of any industry-wide changes in design philosophy and any new tools and technologies being used for graphic design on the web.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or art school degree; high school diploma required
    • 5+ years of experience in relevant field required; B2B or B2C in consumer brand products industry preferred
    • Direct experience working with DTC team
    • Knowledge of best practices in experience design and IA approaches relative to e-Commerce.
    • Ability to organize and schedule multiple projects across multiple brands
    • A solid understanding of the principles of design and the ability to apply them to complex tasks are crucial
 
    • Experience working with multi-brand and licensee organizations is preferred

    • Creative problem solving, communication skills, and decision-making skills

    • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

    • A strong aesthetic sense and excellent attention to detail

    • Ability to carry out a concept from start to completion and work independently

    • Multi-tasking: execute more than one design brief at a time

    • Hand-crafted skills and experience in fashion, art, design, and photography are preferred
    • Preferred: Magento 2.0 experience.
    • Preferred: International DTC experience working on assets across languages/translations

       

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in all design related UI programs. Strong aptitude (5+ years) with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Proficient in UX and/or prototyping tools (ex: Sketch, InVision, Axure, Omnigraffle)
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of the roles and limits of web technologies such as HTML, Javascript, and server-side technologies
    • Experience with helping design and/or build mobile sites and responsive websites
    • Basic HTML and Javascript knowledge (i.e. comprehension of syntax and where to place code)
    • Strong project management skills; experience with web-based PM tools such as Mavenlink, Workamajig, and Basecamp a plus.
